Dr. Michael Matwick is the Chief Executive Officer of Pinnacle Online High School. Dr. Matwick has been a leading advocate in using technology-based solutions to support the varied needs of all learners since the creation of the Arizona Career Academy program in 1995. With the inception of Pinnacle Online High School in 2000, he created a vision that expanded the scope of the organization to include a comprehensive online high school program in Arizona, a highly successful credit recovery program for students in traditional schools seeking additional credits, and the expand the school internationally.

In a time of cost cuts and budget reductions, Dr. Matwick has championed the use of instructional technology and integrated software solutions that drive instructional improvement. The driving force behind the ETPG process, owned by MGRM Pinnacle Education, Dr. Matwick provided the foundational philosophy shaping the creation of a process used to monitor and intervene with online students based on engagement, time in course, pace and grade. Dr. Matwick holds Doctoral and Masters degrees from Northern Arizona University in Educational Leadership, along with a Master of Science in Education and Bachelor of Science in Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
